A vintage British pocket watch begins a new chapter as a one-of-a-kind pendant, preserving the beauty of its original craftsmanship while celebrating a new life as wearable art.
The original sterling silver watch case, enamel dial, and crystal remain intact, honoring the history of the piece. The dial has been thoughtfully reimagined with reclaimed blue sapphires and tsavorite garnets, while an 8 mm Akoya pearl hemisphere marks the small seconds register, adding a quiet nod to both time and memory. The reverse features an applied gold horse and sulky motif, preserving the watch's connection to British harness racing and making the pendant as beautiful from the back as it is from the front.
Rather than hanging from a traditional chain, the pendant is hand-laced with a continuous leather cord that echoes the tack and reins of the racing world from which it came. A 6 mm Akoya pearl finishes the pendant tassel, while freshwater seed pearls accent the sliding finish knots along the 30-inch leather cord.
The versatile cord allows the pendant to be worn in countless ways, long or short, knotted or wrapped, making it as adaptable as it is distinctive.
